How to Reach the Valley of Flowers

By Air

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, located about 300 km from the park. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Joshimath, the gateway to the Valley of Flowers.

By Train

The closest railway station is Haridwar, approximately 280 km away. From Haridwar, you can take a taxi or bus to reach Joshimath.

By Road

The park is well-connected by road. Regular buses and taxis operate from major cities like Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Haridwar to Joshimath. From Joshimath, you can trek to the park's entrance at Ghangaria (about 13 km), which serves as the base for exploring the valley.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Valley of Flowers National Park is during the summer months from June to September. This period offers pleasant weather, with flowers in full bloom and clear skies, making it ideal for trekking and photography.
